Precious pearls and jewels in the Master Jeweller’s hands

This week I share a vivid dream experience that God gave me in November 2019 and look into the Bible for insight into what it means for us as His people. Jesus talked a lot about money and treasure, and he wants to realign our understanding to that of heaven – a totally different perspective from the world’s way of thinking about real treasure and things of real eternal value (hint: it’s people). 😉

One of the things Jesus said is,

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matthew 6:19-21

We need to learn from Jesus what heavenly treasure is and how to store it up!

The Dream:

Part 1

Began with myself and some others (not sure how many – 2 or 3 perhaps). We were unstitching from a piece of old cloth. Like an old garment that was once fancy and nice but had worn out and fallen apart. We were rescuing the valuable pearls from it and selling them to the jeweller (God the Father) who would use them again.

Part 2

Then I was (we were) finding gems on the ground. They were already cut and polished but not set into jewellery. We were giving these to the jeweller also (and being paid for them à a reward?!)

Part 3

Finally, I was finding large uncut gems in the dirt. Big gemstones like rocks, still rough and dirty but large and precious “the diamond in the rough”.

Listen as we contemplate together what God is saying to us through His Word giving us insight into the meaning of this dream.
