A beloved person is one who is dearly loved.
God the Father loves Jesus SOOOO much and calls him Beloved (when Jesus is baptised, the Father says, “This is my Beloved Son with whom I am well pleased.” Note that up to this point Jesus hadn’t done any ministry, nothing outward to make God be proud of Him. The Father loves the Son just because of who He is.
And then guess what? We get to be deeply loved by the Father because we are accepted in the the beautiful, precious, beloved Jesus.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
